Palu Earthquake Urgent Appeal

On the evening of Friday, September 28, 2018, a deadly 7.4-magnitude earthquake devastated the cities of Palu, Donggala, and Mamuju, in the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. As of 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) has reported at least 1374 deaths, thousands of buildings damaged and more than 17,000 people were displaced as a result of the quake. Many people remain in shelters, afraid to return home.

To help survivors of this disaster, we at CERDAS Foundation are mobilizing efforts to provide immediate support and relief. We are collecting funds for distribution to those impacted by the disaster. CERDAS Foundation is collaborating with local Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) with access to the affected areas to bring timely and effective relief to the victims.
